The other day my chauffeur — I mean, “beloved master” — took me to Marymoor Park. I LOVE this place! You just can’t beat running around 40 acres off-leash in the sun! There are trails to walk on with my human, big open fields where I can play tag with my many dog friends, and the The Sammamish Slough runs through it so I can swim to my heart’s content.

A day at the Marymoor dog park, is an EPIC day for me. I can’t imagine a better place to play if you’re a dog, but I did hear someone tell my human about some of the other great dog parks in our area. So here’s a list of parks where you can take your canine companion
MAGNUSON PARK
7400 Sand Point Way NE
Seattle, WA 98115
This park is the biggest in Seattle! The off-leash area has 9 whole acres where your pooch can run and play with their buddies. This is where the hip city dogs come to stretch their legs. This park has winding trails and lots of open space. The nature here is beautiful. Makes me feel like a wild animal! RAWR!
498 Admiral Way
Edmonds, WA 98020
This place is AWESOME! There’s a section of the park with agility equipment and a small dog section, but for the most part you’re going to want to come here for the fact that it’s a BEACH! Who doesn’t love splish-splashing around in the sound?
9000 8th Ave SW
Seattle, WA 98106
This park has 9 acres for your pooch to run and play and they even have a doggie drinking fountain. Plenty of shade, trees, fields and all sorts of delightful flora and fauna. The fauna being the dogs! There are also plenty of places for humans to plant themselves and watch the action.
2032 79th Ave
Lake Stevens, WA 98258
This park has 3 acres of off-leash area for your pooch to run and even a small section for my more shy canine friends. You do have to bring your own bag to pick up after your dog though. Oh well, you humans can worry about that! Meanwhile your pup will be busy skipping through the meadow.
12718 1st Ave NE
Seattle, WA 98125
This park has .7 acres of open spaces, trails, shade and trees for us pooches to get our “wolf pack” on. It also has picnic areas, restrooms, play areas and playfields for our humans, too. It’s on the smaller side, relative to other parks, but it’s about quality, not quantity, right? I will be the first to say that good things come in small packages. I’m proof!
Remember, there’s nothing we pooches like better than to get outside with our humans. Just look at the picture of my pal Luke; you can tell he’s having a great time! So now that you’ve got a whole list of great places where you can take your pooch……..what are you waiting for? I’ll see you at the dog park!
Until next time,
